As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Articles sent to the editorial board of Al-Musannif: Journal of Islamic Education and Teacher Training (Jurnal Pendidikan Islam dan Keguruan) must fulfill the technical requirements as follows:

  • Articles are conceptual analysis or research results around Islamic education and learning are viewed from various aspects and perspectives. It is an authentic/original work and has never been published in any form.

  • The conceptual article contains the title, name and identity of the author, abstracts and keywords, introduction, contents or discussion, conclusion (containing conclusions and implications), and reference lists.

  • The research article contains the title, name and identity of the author, abstracts and keywords, introduction (problem, purpose and usefulness of research, novelty, and urgency of research), theoretical support (optional), research methods, results and discussion, conclusion (containing conclusions, suggestions, and implications), and reference lists.

  • Articles are written in Indonesian or English with Times New Roman 12 on A4 size paper and sent to the email address dcilellang@gmail.com through an online journal operating system with MS Word format. The writing length is 5000-7000 words.

  • Ayat of Al-Qur'an and or Hadith (Arabic text) in the article are written with Traditional Arabic 18 spaced 1 cm.

  • Arabic text is written with Latin letters using the Library of Congres (LoC) model.

  • Include abstracts in English with a maximum of 250 words and with a maximum of 5 (five) keywords.

  • The name of the author of the article (without an academic degree or position) is included with the correspondence address, e-mail address, and cell phone number.

  • Articles that fulfill the requirements are selected and edited by the editorial board to uniform the format and style of writing without changing the contents.

  • Articles must include the cited source using the Mendeley/Zotero application with body note format and bibliography adjusting the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition model.

  • Reference lists are mainly sourced from primary libraries such as national and international journals, research results, dissertations, thesis, and essays. The updated references (80% last 5 years) and sorted alphabetically and chronologically.

  • More details about the author guidelines can be seen in the Journal Template. It is recommended to write with the journal template provided.
